Negeri Sembilan, 15 February 2025 – The much-anticipated SORAC x Melewar Rugby 10’s tournament took center stage today, captivating rugby enthusiasts with an exhilarating day of fast-paced action and fierce competition. Held at Padang Melewar B, IPGM Kampus Raja Melewar in Negeri Sembilan, the event brought together teams from across the region to compete for glory in seven distinct categories: Cup, Plate, Bowl, Shield, Spoon, and Fork.

Organized jointly by SORAC and Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia (IPG), the tournament kicked off at 8:30 AM and concluded with a grand prize-giving ceremony at 5:30 PM. The event showcased not only exceptional athleticism but also the spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship that defines rugby.

Champions Crowned Across Categories

In the highly coveted Champion Cup category, SASEROBA ASTRIXX emerged victorious, defeating IPG Kota Bharu in a nail-biting final. Their stellar performance throughout the day earned them the top honors, cementing their status as one of the standout teams of the tournament.

The Plate competition saw OGA claim victory, overcoming Troopers Inteja OB in a hard-fought battle. Meanwhile, the Bowl title went to Vortex Titan , who triumphed over the Kinrara Cougars , leaving spectators on the edge of their seats with their dynamic play.

For the Shield category, Darkhorse proved unstoppable, edging out Phoenix RC to take home the trophy. In the lighter-hearted yet equally competitive Spoon division, TMS reigned supreme, besting IPG Raja Melewar in a spirited showdown.

Rounding out the awards were the winners of the Fork category, where SMAP Labu edged past Lycan OB to lift the championship trophy. Each match was a testament to the skill, determination, and teamwork displayed by all participating teams.
